Why did you write a Contemporary Romance?
I am not a prolific reader, but something that I know about is love in the modern world. This resulted in various projects where I attempted over the years to create a book with this rough idea in mind. This most recent time, I had a lot of creative energy and had gone through college courses that improved my writing ability so I finally found the story that could become the Debut.
Why did you write anonymously and under a Pen Name?
Well, my Pen Name is Open about my Sexuality, while in my personal life I do have certain extended family members that are yet to know.
Additionally, I always just found the idea of a pen name interesting so that was an influence. But probably the biggest thing is if you search my "real name" you will get someone who is already famous, no one has the name Locke Byrd.
